Hi, I'm Tandeka Fable — founder and principal designer of Fabl & Co LLC.

The name Fabl comes from my last name, Fable — a West Indian name rooted in storytelling. I'm Guyanese-American, born in Brooklyn and raised here my entire life. And storytelling through space is exactly what I do: I help people fall in love with where they are.

I earned my BFA in Interior Design and went on to intern with iconic designer Jonathan Adler — an experience that deepened my understanding of how great design balances beauty, personality, and purpose. When the 2008 recession hit, the industry doors closed and I pivoted to retail, where I spent over a decade developing a sharp, instinctive eye for how people experience and move through the spaces around them. That chapter taught me more than I realized at the time.

In 2020, I came back to design on my own terms and founded Fabl & Co — right here in Brooklyn, the city that raised me.

My approach is simple: your space should tell your story, not mine. I don't bring personal preferences to the table. I bring professional expertise, a trained eye, and the patience to listen deeply until I understand exactly what you need — even when you're not sure how to say it yet. The result is always intentional, always elevated, and always unmistakably yours.
